Our approach centers wellness of the GSD community as a point of change that empowers these individuals to achieve their full potential. This change is desirable and of value to the GSD community in Africa, broadly because it increases their access to opportunities and shifts the conversation from sexuality or gender identity and expression to individuality. 

In order to achieve this objective, we have mapped out new pathways for change which will facilitate the longer-term desired change. We believe in identifying the most pressing needs of the particular GSD community as defined by them and investing directly in initiatives that respond to those needs with the aim of empowering individuals. 

This change will only be successful if resourcing patterns shift to invest in ventures that allow GSD persons to define their futures beyond concerns around their sexuality and gender identity.
